Hi guys,
Hope you are all having a good day. I'm a college student writing a pretty big paper on the subject of stunt casting and am just hoping some of you would be willing to take a few minutes to take my survey. It's only 19 questions and most of them are yes or no multiple choice type questions. Thanks so much in advance for anyone's help! Take care!

To the OP: How do you define stunt casting? That's an important thing to know when answering your questions. There was a thread a while back that debated the definition of "stunt casting" vs. "star casting" and people seem to have different definitions of what qualifies as "stunt casting," so once you answer my question I'll gladly fill out your survey.
That's actually one of the questions, JBroadway! Just answered.

Hahaha! If only I had the money Mr. Weinstein does. At least I would be able to graduate debt free...
JBroadway, I originally had defined the term at the beginning of the survey but I am going to let people decide for themselves what they think it means since there is a question that addresses you are saying and what I think might be different from what others think.
Thanks everyone who voted!

I'm not personally against stunt casting if the producers can find people who fit the role and have the singing/dancing/acting ability required. I don't want to see a pop star or model who isn't a great dancer doing watered down choreography in a dance role where someone like a Donna McKechnie or Charlotte D'Amboise could do it instead. I don't need a "name" performer. I like seeing the show as it is meant to be done. Of course if someone has the talent and background and a name, then that's great. I do understand that it sometimes has to be done to save a sagging box office at times and I know that it does sometimes bring in people who might not normally see theater. But it shouldn't detract or cause a show to be "dumbed down".
