Have to say, I agree and I know a lot of the community agrees with you as well.
After an exciting debut, Smash gets more and more troubling every episode whereas Submissions Only which began with a fun but modest start, gets better and better with every episode.
Smash makes you realize how hard it is to create compelling television. Submissions Only makes it look easy.

Anne L. Nathan as Linda Avery is the only exciting thing about the show.

While I’m not submissions only’s biggest fan, I enjoyed smash initially and I’m really starting to dislike how glee-ish it’s becoming. blech.
