He would make a great Edna Turnblad

Could he star in the musical version of Jan Maxwell's bag?

I'm hoping that Harvey teams up with Loretta Swit in a revival of MAN OF LA MANCHA.
Will she play the horse?

Of course you're joking. We both realize that she was born to play Aldonza.

If they did a revival of SIDESHOW, he would save the producers money by not having to have but one person play the Siamese twins...that voice sounds like a duet anyway...
I didn't realize Aldonza was a horse.

Jordan, Aldonza is a "whore", not a "horse". Learn the difference.

Harvey is going to replace Jan Maxwell and play "Phyllis" in the LA transfer of the revival of FOLLIES.
How 'bout Tom in "Fat Pig"
or all of the roles in "Diner"
"Actually, I think he should be Kathleen Turner's alternate in HIGH. I mean, they are essentially the same person at this point."
Well, since I've just been hired to dress Ms. Turner, I'll be able to let you know if they are, in fact, the same person.

Please do. Such information is golden.

How about we have Harvey do a one-man-show of... EVERYTHING! :O
I'll bet the numbers for "Mary Poppin's" would improve if he was the headliner. Would LOVE to see him flying over the audience and out of the theatre.

Frankly, I can't think of a role that it ISN'T funny to suggest Harvey for.
Ok... this thread makes me think he needs a one-man review doing these characters. Here's my list:
Rafiki - Lion King (admittedly he would be great as Scac/Zazu, Pumbaa)
Spiderman - Spiderman - It might actually be good
Annie Oakley - Annie Get your Gun
Phantom - PofOpera
Mimi - Rent
Deena Jones (Not Effy) - AND he gets Beyonce's "Listen" - sneaky charm role. At the very least it would take the weight issue off the table.
Aida - Aida
Lead - Legally Blonde
Jud Fry - Oklahoma

Never mind. I stand corrected.
And suggesting Nathan Lane for every woman's role is even more tiresome.
I'm very confused. If it is not funny, why does everyone keep doing it?
he'll be a great helicopter in ms saigon
He would be a good Chloe in Wonderland...
He could be the Alps in the Sound of Music.
Who says suggesting Nathan Lane for women's roles is funny? I think he would make a genuinely good, entertaining Mama Rose!
