Has anyone rushed Sunday in the Park with George? Where were your seats?

The rush was front row, and only until opening night, unless I'm mistaken. Which means they don't have it anymore.
I asked about it the other day and was told it was discontinued, but BWW just posted an article that said it will continue through the end of the run.

Did anyone try to rush this morning? What was the line like?
They sold front row tix in advance so the title may be misleading. I figure they'd sell other seats for rush but perhaps if there are still available front row rush tickets available on the day of oerformance, they can sell those.
good luck! Hope you get to see this production!
I would love to hear rush reports as well! Also if anyone is planning on rushing Sunday in the Park (or any other show) for March 22nd, my friend and I get in around 11 and would love to be your extra two tickets for either the matinee or evening. We are more than happy to repay by rushing other shows (obviously we would pay for the price of our tickets.... duh).
PM me!

I rushed this morning and it wasn't too bad. I think the first few people in line got there around 4 or 5 am, and a lot more people start showing up around 7 am. Not sure how many tickets they ended up giving out, but I ended up getting tickets in the center of rear orchestra. People in the line were speculating about which tickets they would offer since there are still a lot of orchestra seats further up showing as available on the site. We were all hoping for those LOL. Guess they're trying to sell them full price though! I'm excited to see the show tonight!

Great, I want to rush it tomorrow, but I can't see myself showing up before 8 lol

There are still so many tickets left for tonight's performance. I'm very curious to see if they'll be available at the box office later for rush prices or if they will just go empty. Someone should go by and ask!
We are headed to the city this weekend and would love to rush this show... all reports are appreciated! Trying to figure out what time we should get there and where the seats will be located.

Just got here for a potentially six-show four day stay, the first of which is "Sunday in the Park With George."
I was at the Hudson a little after 3 hoping to snag one of the few $49 seats and lo and behold, they had what they termed a "couple" of rush tickets left. Dress Circle J 4. $41. Only negative is it's listed as limited view for some scenes.
I was able to get leftover far-side orchestra seats for the rush price at 5:45pm last night before the 8pm show. The box office said that wouldn't be usual, but it seemed that they were able to sell leftover, cheaper seats from multiple sections for $41. So it's worth a shot if you're in midtown and see more than a couple empty seats on the website.

We arrived at 6am on saturday. We were second in line. the people before us arrived around 4:30. Another group of two appeared a few minutes after us, and more people started trickling in around 7. They gave out 10 rush tickets each for the matinee and evening performances. I would recommend arriving before 7 if you want to be sure about your seats. The line was pretty long by 10am. Not sure if anyone got cheap non rush options. We were seated in the back of the orchestra, and the view was great. I highly recommend the show.

Do you think that 6 is early enough? I'm going to rush on Saturday and really want tickets!! Some people have said that you have to get there around 5, although I really don't want to wait in line outside for five hours if it's 19 degrees...
Has anyone tried rushing for a Thursday night? I have the day off in a few weeks and I was thinking about trying it. I figured it might not be as crazy as other nights because it's mid week, but at the same time it's so close to the weekend that it might be just as bad. Thoughts?

They generally sell $49 tickets after they run out of rush. I got there at 10:15 on a Tuesday and would have been able to get them once I got to the front of the line.

I tried to rush yesterday. Only a few people got tickets (I think they give out ~10 rush tickets confirming what people posted before). Unfortunately, they didn't have any $49 tickets, the cheapest ticket that they have was $150.
@lostphantom what time did you arrive? Thanks for the update!

I actually arrived quite late yesterday (~8:00am). There were already 20 people in front of me.. I was betting on the $49 cheap tickets, but too bad they didn't have any yesterday. Ended up getting rush tickets for "Come from away" which is another beautiful show!
Good luck!

I plan a doing rush early on Saturday 3/25. I only need 1 ticket. I will do the waiting just looking for you to cover the cost of my ticket $41. I can go to either 2pm or 8pm performance.
PM me if interested.
The lady at the box office told my friend and me that there are 10 rush tickets avail scattered throughout the orchestra and fans line up around 6... honestly paying a bit extra for the balcony seems better than waiting on line (if you can swing it)...
I've been twice and I LOVED THE SHOW... see it if you can ... what a beautiful production...

bump.....looking to try rush tomorrow for either 2 or 8. fingers crossed....
Anyone rush recently?
Probably not the best idea to rush tomorrow since there is no show! There are no performances this week so Gylenhaal can do press for his new movie.
