This is false; you can find counterexamples in the main Sunday thread. I think folks on this thread were put off by your dismissing the show as "cute." :)
I also love Sunset Blvd., by the way!

Apologies, Muscle if I misinterpreted your intent. I totally understand not liking SUNDAY. I mistook your use of the word cute for snark. I'm coming into town next month just to see SUNDAY and SUNSET.

Seriously? WTF does someone being gay (or not) have to do with any of this?

How does being a minority have anything to do with this?
"
I think they mean minority as in one of the few people who didn't love it, rather than a racial minority.

Lol....words matter. I bet you're right, thanks for the clarification.

When I came out, my parents, friends, family members were "disappointed", because they want me to be straight, but I am who I am, and I like what I like. So I like what I like and I don't have to pay any explanations to anyone on here. I didn't use the word "cute" sarcastically or with any intention of sounding snarky, I think it is a cute show. I didn't hate it. I like that it revolves around "art" and a man who is passionate about his art, I find that cute. Yet, I don't think the material is that good and it dragged.

Yes, that exactly. ??

Just no. You don't equate one's sexuality with one's taste in musicals -- or anything else.
It's like saying "I love PB&J sandwiches, and I love what I love and I don't need your approval, and you're probably gay and people shouldn't tell you who to love." You might learn to like other kinds of sandwiches, but that's got nothing to do with who you fundamentally are.
Also, it's not a question of whether you need our approval. This is a discussion board, which means we discuss (and snark and bitch and applaud, etc.). And when you say SITPWG is "cute" and people find your opinion odd, they have as much right to call you on it as you have to say it in the first place.
you don't need to tell me what to do...i compare it with whatever i want to. i was trying to make a point. girl bye!
i mean, if you pay my bills, then you can tell me what to do and i will comply :)
again, since some people didn't get it. my comment wasn't meant to be snarky by the way
i said "cute" as a compliment

What's the point of Sunset Blvd the musical? The Billy Wilder film has wit and bite; the musical does not!
great shot of the Hudson interior

I'm really dying for a recording. If they do record the soundtrack, when do you all think that would take place?

If that's your opinion, I can tell you I disagree, but I won't try to make you change your mind. You're entitled to your opinion, even if it is different from mine.
But I think the musical show is much better, basically because of the score and the 40 piece orchestra, to begin with. And it's full of witty lines. Unfortunately Siobhan Dillon doesn't deliver her lines with a lot of sass like Judy Kuhn did though.

"Girl bye"?! What are you; 12?
You're obviously incapable of having a grown-up discussion. Why don't you go back to the Sunset Blvd. thread and leave the adults to talk about Sunday in the Park with George?

Back OT: Am really looking forward to seeing this again this week. LOVED it at City Center last October.

i think muscle23ftl may not be American, because the word "cute" does not apply to Sunday in the Park with George in basically any way, shape or form.

Well, there is that part where Georges pretends to be a dog (or actually two of them). I can see how someone might say that's cute. :)
Any word on whether they'll be a cast recording?
Getting worried that the recording won't happen. I'm hoping for at least an EP.
Tesori said she's hoping it would happen. If lesser productions like Encores Merrily and Doyle's Passion were recorded, I'd be shocked if this wasn't.

the merch is fantastic.
Wow, this thread got weird and douchebaggy really quickly.

I am an American citizen, but you are right, I'm from another country originally and English is my 2nd language.
