"The I love you song" from Spelling Bee. Not a solo but if done well it's heartbreaking

It's Quiet Uptown from HAMILTON. "Unimaginably" sad and equally gorgeous.

Agreed! Also from Miranda, "Everything I Know." That song can make me openly cry.

I second both of these and add "so big/ so small" from Dear Evan Hansen.

So big/so small is the saddest fricking song I've ever heard.

All from The King & I:
Hello, Young Lovers
I can't remember the title, but the main wife's song with the line, "This is a man who stumbles and falls, but this is a man who tries."

Amalia's song in she Loves Me that closes Act 1.
For Good from Wicked.

I agree with "For Good," and will add:
"Feed the Birds" - simple message that so many of us seem to overlook
"Safer" from First Date - maybe it's my own place in life that makes it hit home
"Out There" from Hunchback (along with pretty much the whole score - gorgeous, but so sad)
"A Piece of Sky" and "Papa, Can You Hear Me" (I know they're not Broadway, but Barbra is close enough to Broadway, no? They get me every time)

People need to talk about this song and the Spelling Bee score overall way more frequently. This song in particular can make me bawl.

Not sure if this song qualifies......but in all my years of theater going, I sobbed the most during "Papa's Gonna Make It All Right" from Shennandoah.
Other songs that affected me:
Momma, Look Sharp from 1776
Not While I'm Around
Love Who You Love from Man of No Importance

I find "Pity the Child" from Chess to be very sad.

You'll need to wait a few months for this one, but saddest song ever: "So Big, So Small" from Dear Evan Hansen.
"It's Quiet Uptown" from Hamilton - you have to not be human to get through that without tears
"Goodbye Until Tomorrow" always gets me from The Last Five Years, but you kind of need that to be in the context of the show. Same for "Finale" from Les Miserables.
I do love a good cry...
