Yes, Sutton and Gavin must perfrom together again, it would be amazing! I loved the film, and think it would make a great musical. I think that Bernadette would be great as that role on stage - so what if she doesn't look like her cartoon counter-part - she'd be hilarious!

Maybe they could rewrite the show for the stage to make it more accurate in the history books, like suddenly The Empress is like... "Wait a second! You are Not ANASTASIA!?!?!" and Anastasia could be like "Yes I am... I think... (MUSIC) Heart don't fail me now..."
Empress... "I did a DNA test on the remains of some bodies and one of them was my Anastasia!" Anastasia... "Dangit! I thought I had finally found my home... Are you thinking about adopting?"
Empress... "Well I was interested in doing some charity work for my reputation!"
Anastasia "PERFECT!"
Dimitri "I'll write up the papers!"
Bartok(The little Bat) "I just love happy endings
And then the chorus could sing A really great song about adoption! And the wonderful things that it does for people!
What do you think???? Hahaha JUST KIDDING (Obviously) But I do agree Sutton would be wonderful, She sounds like Anastasia sometimes when she's singing Jo on the LW CD. Especially during "Take a Chance on Me" She says, "You're a lunatic" and it sounds exactly like Anastasia! :re: Sutton Foster as Anastasia:re: Sutton Foster as Anastasia

Love her, but I think she might be too all-American looking. I'd rather see and Anya with a bit more exotic edge to her.

That would be awesome!
I don't think Anastasia is disney, produced by Fox, correct? but I'd much rather see this than Tarzan.
I'd really like to see Sutton in the role, even though i adore lea solanga

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous

ooo I like the idea of Sutton as Anastasia. I could totally hear her singing "Journey to the Past."
Perhaps Anne Hathaway would be another good choice for the role. I really want to see her do something on Broadway.

Also, how about putting Bernadette in a fat suit? That would be interesting.

Does this mean we get Angela Lansburry back on Broadway to play the Grandmother? Because that's reason enough to see it.

Yean Anastasia was produced by Fox, not Disney

I really want this show to be a musical so bad! Gavin/Sutton...perfect! Anne Hatthaway is not a bad choice either. And I think it would also be hilarious to see Bernadette in a fat suit! Maybe Kelsey Grammar can also be Vlad like he was in the movie too!
Who could be Rasputin?

Just what Broadway needs: another cartoon musical. What happened to theater for adults?
