We can all agree that everyone liked the Sven puppet in the musical frozen. But how does it work? The puppet blinks and ive been wondering if its controlled by the actor or if its on a cycle? Also does the actor sing with the ensemble or is it stricly a puppet role.

Andrew Pirozzi, the main actor for Sven, does not sing with the ensemble. It is strictly a puppet role, and he also controls the blinking.

Best part of the entire show. I wish they could’ve translated the beauty of that reindeer to the rest of the production.

Now I'm curious --- do you think it would be appropriate for Sven to take his mask off during curtain call?

It's pretty crazy that they got Sven so right, and went so terribly wrong with Olaf.

^^^^^^ Olaf is horrible, they should have just cut him. (I know they can’t, but it’s that bad imo).

I do wish the Sven actor could do curtain call showing his face! He deserves more recognition for what looks like a difficult and thankless role.

or at least have an actor on stage with no puppet. my biggest problem with olaf was the same as avenue q- i couldnt get over the actor being in plain view and im supposed to just ignore him. (it was worse in avenue Q when the puppeteers would switch)

it works in Avenue Q, but not in this.

I think Olaf should have just been done muppets style and had it to where we never see the actor. And the fact that the actor is dressed in all white like a clown is just bizarre.
