Have already seen Indecent (thought it was beautiful and heartbreaking), but I don't know about the others, and my dad wants to see one before the Tonys.  Which do you recommend?  He's 60, pretty modern, but usually loves a musical way more than a play.  I need something that is quick-moving (not necessarily short, just quick-moving) and will hold his attention.

Sounds like Indecent is your best option, as it is closest to the feel of a musical (and also I think it was easily the best of the 3 shows you mentioned). Six Degrees is also very fast paced, but not nearly as good IMO.

I always thought 6 Degrees was a bit overrated.  The new production is fine, but surely not a must see.  My recommendation would be Indecent.  I also highly recommend A Doll's House II, which was outstanding!!!

Sweat is arguably a reality check. It summarizes the essence of the national angst in two hours. Indecent does pretty well in telling the story but falls short in showing it despite some amazing scenes. However, it has the theatrical elements I admire and find more of in London than on Broadway. Six Degrees, well, is good, if not great, for what it is.

Given what's happening right now, Sweat might be something you and your father want to check out, although you can't go wrong with either Sweat or Indecent.

I am assuming you saw or, do not want to see A DOLL'S HOUSE PART 2.

If you have not seen it, I would go for it or INDECENT. SWEAT was very good but I didn't find it go be really fast moving. I have seen 3 of the nomimated plays.  INDECENT just took my breath away.  JMO

I havent seen Indecent but I enjoyed Six Degrees more than Sweat. The lottery for six degrees is practically a given!

Due to so many of you recommending Indecent, which I already saw, we ended up going for A Doll's House Pt. 2.  Looking forward to it!

Haven't seen Six Degrees yet- but although I thought Indecent is excellent (saw it 2x on Broadway)- Sweat did move fairly quickly especially towards the end. Very thought provoking, especially if your dad is into politics of the early 2000's.

Um, ok. That was a tad bit confusing but enjoy the show.
