it's amazing. the best thing on broadway that i've ever seen. truly amazing.
take him, don't worry. kid's are more advanced and resourceful than most people think. if he likes musical theater, he should enjoy it. it's truly amazing.

I think you would get along well with my parents. They used to(and still do) take me with them to just about every theatre event that goes on around here. It's thanks to them that I'm interested in theatre at all.
And I agree. Give kids some credit. Most 14 yr. olds watch horror movies. Those are waaaay scarier than Sweeney.

i saw the show at the national theatre when i was 4 or 5 don't realy remeber it then i saw it at the royal opera house when i was 13 it was incredable i was verry into theatre then, i saw this production when I was 14 in london then in october last year again incedible i think you should most defenitely go he will remeber it for ever

I thought you were going to say you really enjoyed and understood it at 4 or 5. I would've been very scared if that was the case!
When I saw it, there was a group of four or five girls who really enjoyed the show, and they seemed to be 7-9.
Okay...If I can see Rent and The Woman in White (which deals with rape, murder and is kind of freaky IMHO, but I loved it)and I am almost 14. I'm sure he will be fine!
I think that it is up to you, you know your child more than anybody on the boards.
