Huh? Burton will have this finished, edited, tested and ready to show in less than 9 months? Does that seem way too quick to anyone else?

Not really. that is standard turn around for a movie these days. DREAMGIRLS and CHICAGO both had the almost exact filming/release pattern. Most movies are edited as they are shot and are available in a rough viewing edit within a week or so of completion.

I'm so excited. I was just wondering, and don't anyone bite my head off, but I was curious, is it going to be a musical or is there going to be no singing?
I am a bagel on a plateful of onion rolls. If you know what I'm talking about, good. If you don't, you're on your own!

Hairspray's turn around was rather quick as well. Just about a year in total beginning with the 2 month rehearsal process last July.

Although that doesn't include preplanning/casting.

What a festive way to get into the "holiday mood"!!
Does anyone really think this one will make any $$,considering the "underwhelming receptions" given to "Rent" and "The Producers"?

What a lovely film to get us in the holiday spirit :)

But really, I can't wait for this to come out! Nice to know I only have to wait 9 months for it! Though I'm worried that the release date might negatively affect the box office results. Wouldn't mid-fall be so much better?

I feel like they're trying to push it out for awards season... still, I thought it would come sooner (like Oct/Nov/Halloween)... maybe i'm just crazy...
EDIT: It is a "musical thriller," after all...

I think this will be a hard sell due to the subject matter .

Anyone else feel the same ?
