Hi all-
I'm hoping to see Sweeney Todd in November; I'm considering B-12 (twisting view) and C-12 (regular view). The B seat is $50 less. Exactly how much twisting is involved? Is it sort of similar to being in Great Comet on-stage/banquette seats?
Thanks!
Not sure about the seat numbers, but I sat in a twisting seat right by the pie counter, and I'd say I spent 30% of the show twisted around. But honestly... it's really not uncomfortable, and you get used to it really quickly. If you are far from the pie counter in a twisting seat, you will spend almost the entire show at a 180 degree twist, and it'll probably hurt your back.

I'm betting that's B-12 I'm referencing; it's right by the end of the pie counter. C-12 is the next set of seats over.
It depends on how you sit. I've seen this show twice in a twisty seat (once by the pie counter and another time by the piano). If you prefer to sit with both your feet/shoes on the floor, then yes you'll be twisting a lot. However, for the B seat near the counter, keep your left foot/shoe on the floor, but fold your right leg on the seat so your right foot is underneath your left thigh on the bench (and your right knee is pointed towards the pie counter). Put your right arm on the backside of the bench for balance and you'll be more comfortable! I hope this helps.
B-12 and C-12 are both excellent seats! I sat in C-1 (right between them.) If you're in B-12, you will be twisting around to see most of the show (but being in the front you will get interaction too!), and as you'll be on the end of the bench there will be more room for you to maneuver.
If I were going to see it again, I would definitely choose C-12 though! C-12 (and C-1) are the two seats closest to most of the action.

I had twisting seats; my friends had regular seats along the side. Honestly I'd absolutely spring for the best seats. This is a spectacular show. You shouldn't undercut it unless you don't have any other choice. Incidentally, I'm also short and was able to sit With my legs tucked underneath me and body turned around a lot of the show. Still not that great a view.
I have B-9 - so excited to see the show! I am ok with sitting with one leg folded in front of me :)

Thanks, all! My fingers moved independently of my brain and I found that I had purchased C-12 before I even realized what was going on! I'm really excited, and am now just praying that work doesn't cancel my trip.
Wick3- thanks for the "instructions" on how to sit comfortably in a twisting view seat! I'm short, so that would've helped, but knowing my middle aged body, I probably would've been hobbling out of there. I appreciate the directions, though!

I got B-9 and B-10 for the show on the 14th... You will have to let me know how good the seats are. I don’t mind twisting but my wife might.

Anyone have any recommendations for parking near the barrow?

You just made me extra excited about having chosen C-1 and C-12 for my husband and myself when we see it next month!!
C1 is a GREAT seat. Hopefully you don't mind a bit of interaction.
When my friend and I saw the show in April, we had a twisted seat, table E, and it was just fine. We have to turn our heads & our bodies a few times, for a few minutes, but it was just fine - no big deal!

No, I will love it! One of my usher pals here in Dallas is the mother of John-Michal Lyles (Tobias) and she says he will be singing his solo right in front of me. :)
