After attending the Broadway Beauty Pageant tonight, I have realized how perfect Marty Thomas would be as Felicia. He could sing the crap out of it, and he can definitely dance.

Why can't Oliver Thornton transfer with this? He's supposed to be fantastic, not to mention he's f*cking beautiful.

An EPA notice went out today listing only the role of Adam/Felicia, so perhaps Matt Cavenaugh hasn't been cast after all.

Did we ever determine what role Jessica Phillips is playing? I know she's doing it for sure, just not sure of the role.

There is only one real female role. I assume that she's playing Tick's ex-wife.

There is another female role - the Broken Hill pub owner who sings/dances in I Love The Nightlife.

I don't count her because she's essentially an ensemble member with one bit part.

That's mostly because they tend to be older, so they have a lot of experience. Even still, other than Marion, the only women with speaking roles are Shirley and Cynthia (who she can't be for obvious reasons). As for Shirley, she needs to be a comic more than a singer, which Jessica Phillips certainly isn't. Her strength is her voice. Other than Marion, the only other role I could see Jessica playing would be one of the Divas...10 years ago.

I think Jessica looks more like Marion than the divas, not that she can't sing the Divas! I think she'll be Marion... just my guess.
I had been listening to videos on youtube lately (as we all do...) and I think Wesley Taylor can be a good choice for Felicia... or is it just me?

I can't wait to see this porduction on Broadway! The 1st time I saw it was in Sydney and then in London. I still hold the Sydney production and cast close to my heart. They were all amazing! I believe it lost a little something on the West End, but still it is such a fun show that most people would hardly notice. I am extremely happy that the producers were smart enough to hire Tony Sheldon to play Bernadette in the B'way production, the role he created in Sydney and again in London. I can't imagine anyone else playing this role.
All of this praise over Oliver Thornton is beyond me. He did nothing for me when I saw him in the London production. The Felicia/Adam from the Australian production was so much more HOTTER, Sexier and much more believable in the role...give me Daniel Scott any day of the week!!! I think that Matt is going to surprise a lot of you in this role. I applaude him for taking on this challenge. I am pulling for Matt to prove them all wrong!!! Jeez people....give a nice guy a break!!!

Apparently Matt isn't doing it anymore. And ruthiefan, Wesley Taylor isn't hot/muscular enough to be Felicia. He's supposed to be a total bombshell.

I wonder if Jeremy Jordan, who auditioned for the role multiple times, might be back under consideration again.
