TDF worth it

I will most likely be in NYC for 2-4 weeks this summer, and a few days around Thanksgiving. I was just in NYC for 2 weeks and saw 8 shows through TKTS, codes and one lottery win. I'm wondering whether TDF would be worth it since I think I qualify. I did belong about 10 years ago and saw a bunch of great shows including Jersey Boys, Little Women, Tarzan and AIDA.

The summer will likely be a better time for TDF than Thanksgiving, as that is usually a strong time for people coming into NYC. For the summer, you can catch whatever struggling shows are not likely to make it past labor day...

That said, it is only $34 to join. So, if you see one show, you're ahead of most discount codes...

How far away from NYC do you live? If it's 100+ miles you can actually obtain a TDF National Membership for $12/year.

I think its worth it, but i've been waiting for good shows to come up. I hope when the weather starts to get bad, shows like Waitress, and Dear Evan Hansen, and Great Comet will pop up.

Waitress has been at TKTS pretty steadily this past week. Got two front row mezzanine tickets for $60 each yesterday.

When I was at the Great Comet box office yesterday, I heard someone ask about discounts and the box officer attendee said they sometimes have a limited number of tickets there, even if it is just as little as six. Depends on how well the performance is selling.

Great Comet has come up when Grobin is out. I expect that it will be up again for the next bunch of shows he's out. Waitress hasen't (AFAIK), but might be. I'm not expecting DEH at TDF anytime soon--TKTS booth sales are a very imperfect predictor of TDF availability, and DEH is selling very well....

I am going to join. I am going to wait till early summer-I won't be in NYC till this summer. I then will be in NYC around Thanksgiving and also March 2018 so I'll join early summer 2017.
