I'm still trying to figure out where Althea is.
She's at Starbucks yelling at the barista for not drawing a smiley face on her cup.

And LuPone's character doesn't realize that?
Weird.
Bumping this for anyone who can't go see the shows triumphant return to NYC.
The whole play reads like those open scenes that we did back in high school drama class.

Patti wore the heinously ugly boots ever seen on a stage in this. I loved every minute. Granted, there weren’t that many.

I seem to recall it being billed as 75 minutes. Either way it felt interminable to me. Like I said to the friend who took me to see it, it felt like what was a 5-10 minute scene that got cut from a much bigger piece and then just repeated over and over to reach “one act” length
Still the worst show I've ever see on Broadway. Felt like I was there for hours. If I wasn't stuck in the middle of a row I definitely would have walked out and I've never walked out of any show before.
Someone just reminded me of this. God, I loved how awful this play was.
Patti's boots remain the most hideous piece of costume I've ever seen on a Broadway stage.
I saw it early in previews, from the last row of the mezz. I think it was a Friday night because it was packed. We all had trouble hearing them, and no one could follow the plot. I went mostly hoping to hear a bunch of yelling f bombs from two actresses I love and boy did I leave disappointed. The lady next to me said at the end “I thought the random coughs in the audience had more emotion than what we just saw on that stage.” I laughed and agreed.
