I saw it this week. It’s an unbalanced play structurally because the first act is very much table setting and then so much (too much) happens in Act II. A lot of threads are introduced and then need to be tied up, which leads to the themes getting muddy. It’s not an unpleasant experience, but there was a sense of “what is this about?” for me. The cast is pretty solid all around even if the characters they’re playing aren’t always clearly defined. I think the Vulture review is fair.

thanks for giving your thoughts - I wanted to see this (a Voyager fan from way back) but haven't been able to make it work yet. So if I'm not able to at least I'm not missing something amazing
