They have to decide who's replacing Gertner today or tomorrow. I mean they have a performance Tuesday.

Also does this mean that Ware's leaving the Broadway company too? They start rehearsal soon, or will she rehearse for the tour and perform on Broadway at the same time?

Kyle Riabko and Blake Bashoff stayed with Spring Awakening while rehearsing with the tour. They got pulled a lot, but they did both. So Gertner may not be leaving all that soon.


I thought Boston TIX were already on sale -- or is that season subscriptions only?

Dramamama, Book of Mormon tickets are on sale for season subscribers or groups.

Unfortunately, I don't know a large group of people who will go, and I am too poor to commit to a subscription (unless I get nosebleed seats).

Due to the hype surrounding the show, I am wondering if the only way I will see the show is through group tix or season subscription. Broadway Across America - Boston has made it clear that one of those two options is the only way to guarantee you will see the show.

I may try to catch the show in Chicago.

Drama, I don't think Gertner will be with the Bway show after yesterday. This is based on a tweet from Andrew Rannells on Friday congratulating Gertner on his last weekend on BWay. (exact wording can be found in the other Mormon casting thread)

I'm looking forward to Derrick Williams in the show! Hopefully he'll stay with the tour long enough to play Houston (that's if it gets here at all).

Okay, I'm a little confused here. I thought that the production scheduled to be in Chicago from December through February WAS the national tour, but according to the schedule the tour is going to be in several different cities (not including Chicago) during that time. So if we in Chicago are not getting the national tour, what ARE we getting? And WTF is it that I paid $150 for? (Yeah, I know -- It was a lot more expensive on Broadway.)

I think that people have said that Chicago, although a sit-down, is the beginning of the 2nd National Tour. Therefore, Chicago will not have the Gavin, Jared & the 1st National Tour company.

Yes. If you see the SEC filing here, you can see that the Chicago company is different from the tour. The tour is called the Latter-Day company; the Chicago/2NT is the Jumamosi company.

So in other words, Chicago will get the people that weren't good enough to be cast in the first national tour! (Either that, or "home-grown" talent.)

It's not that they weren't "good enough". If I remember correctly, the Chicago sit-down of Wicked had some crazy talent. Ana Gasteyer, Kate Reinders, etc.

I'm sorry -- I should have re-worded that to read "those who weren't fortunate enough to be cast in the first national tour". And yes, I do know that sometimes we in Chicago get really good talent, but I don't know if that's always the case. (Are you a Chicago resident?)
