“‘The Danish Girl’ In Development As Stage Musical” by Deadline’s Greg Evans - “The Danish Girl, David Ebershoff’s bestselling novel that was adapted for a 2015 film starring Eddie Redmayne and Oscar winner Alicia Vikander, is being developed as a stage musical, producer George Strus announced today. The musical will feature book and lyrics by Nora Brigid Monahan, an original score by Alex Parker and direction by Georgie Rankcom. I saw this press release and thought to myself, “didn’t they announce this project years ago, starring L Morgan Lee?”  And indeed they did:

Interesting to note that the original bookwriter/lyricist, Katie Lam, is no longer attached. She was elected a conservative MP in 2024 - make of that what you will!

Never saw the movie, but a quick look online seems to suggest that the trans community has a lot of problems with it.

Well, the most widely, and unjustly, despised minority group in our society is bound to have reasonable complaints about a lot of things.
