Posted: 3/22/09 at 9:03pmThat's really a shame, because I know I'm not the only one who would like a copy.
re: THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA#5
Posted: 3/22/09 at 9:46pmI thought somebody posted a link to a website saying it would be released later this year. Wish I could remember it.

Posted: 3/22/09 at 10:31pmPM me or someone elee who did PVR it fior private "reference" copies. But the deal with PBS called for one live broadcast and one repeat within 14 days. That is how most Live from Lincoln Center broadcasts are done. Other PBS series like GREAT PERFORMANCES (which ran COMPANY) can be commercially released.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

I do recall a recent post here about how some Live From Lincoln Center performances may be released on DVD in the next decade. No indication of what performances might be covered, but that the play/musicals performances seemed not to be likely, as opposed so the concert/dance performances.
