"I found [the Fallon show] clip to be painfully unfunny but I wouldn't let that deter you from the show. It's not all like that."

I saw the show last night and loved it, as apparently everyone else in the house did, as well.

The show does indeed rely on a bunch of routines and gags that you've probably seen before, but the key to the production -- and the ocean-wide gap between the Fallon clip and what is onstage at the Lyceum -- is the impeccable performances and timing. They make the show a classically enjoyable night of theatre.

Saw this last night from center balcony. I actually saw the show performed in London before it was on the West End, when it was 45 minutes long and in a room with about 40 seats. Glad they've done so well and made it to Broadway!

1 hr 40 minutes is quite a stretch for this type of show, and if they cut out 20 minutes no one would miss it. But we - and the full house - laughed the entire way through, and I'd definitely take friends to see it again.

I waited by the stage door for about 20 minutes but had to leave before catching any of the cast, now (reading how excited they were to meet fans) I'm especially disappointed I couldn't stay! Next time...

At the show now. It's FANTASTIC.

Potential spoiler type question:

There was a bit of audience  interaction during act one tonight . Guessing it might have been planned....Or inevitable. Did that happened to anyone else?

Was it "a ledger!"?

IMO the best line of the night was during that rant at the audience :)

Count me in as a fan of this show.  I went in with reservations, though I do like Noises Off and farce in general.  I'm also a Python fan, and there's a slight element of that in there as well - Henry Shields in particular reminded me of John Cleese but with his own spin. I took my 18 year old son who "hates theater" (but does enjoy good comedy) and even he had a blast.  He even wanted to stage door.  We were there Wed night (apparently missed Paul McCartney by one night!) and the entire cast came out and were lovely.  I say if you are on the margin on this one, go.  I don't think you'll regret it.  It filled a very specific need at least from my perspective right now, which is just to be able to laugh at something completely silly for a couple hours.  What can be wrong with that.

Just read an article about how there's been a big uptick in movie sales this year, and the theory was that with the state of the country/world, people need an escape.

I was thinking last night that the belly laughs of TPTGW are a very needed tonic right now, hopefully people will flock there!

Saw the Wednesday matinee this week and throughly enjoyed the whole thing.  Sure its silly slapstick, pratfalls and over-acting....but it all seems to work for me.  I had purchased $25 far left orchestra tickets months ago.  When we arrived the usher immediately directed us to the house manager who apologized that our originally seats were actually obstructed view and they would like to move us to different seats.  These ended up be the back row of center orchestra and were really great seats since the theatre is relatively small.  My favorite thing about sitting there was listening to the ushers standing at the back of the house laughing their butts off during the show.   While it's not high art, I found it tremendously entertaining and was blown away by the precision and comedic timing of the entire cast.  It's a show I could recommend to entire families with no reservations.

Yeah, the two times I've seen the show, it becomes obvious the actor is leading the audience to shout out where the ledger is so he can start off on his (very hilarious) rant.

I figured it wasn't real.   Kinda like when I suspected Santa was actually my dad in a beard and fat suit......I soooooo wanted to believe it was spontaneous.

When I went to see the show a few nights ago, the audience didn't quite catch on at first to the fact that the actor was looking for them to shout where the ledger is. At one point during his many cries of "A LEDGER!", he kinda gave the audience a "By all means, tell me where it is" look, and finally, a few people got it and were all "It's underneath your feet!", and thus he was able to start his rant.

I saw this yesterday (Saturday) and I loved it. Even though there isn't a plot, there is some characterization with each of the actors messing up in specific ways, in addition to everything else that goes wrong. And every time I thought things couldn't go worse (in a good way) I was proved wrong. At times the actors were shouting so much that it was impossible to tell what was going on, but I guess that was kind of the point.

I bought my ticket months ago with the $25 promotion and had a right orchestra seat. I didn't miss anything, but I think if I were a couple of seats further right the study and certain entrances/exits might have been cut off.

@ChairinMain I sat in the $30 balcony seats. Arrived right before showtime and purchased a ticket. Ended up getting the second to last row of the balcony stage right. The height was a lot for me (since I have a fear of heights), but I didn't really miss anything. The only thing that was cut off was a bit of their heads in the study scenes. I actually think that these seats were perfect because you don't have to look up to see what "Trevor" is doing in the "sound booth," the way you would from the orchestra.

Saw this tonight via TDF - 4th row in the Mezz on the aisle. Perfect seat.

I think this is brilliant. I was laughing from start to finish and would have gladly stayed longer to see what else they'd come up with. Sure, it's essentially a shorter "Noises Off," but I was dying. I love slapstick, and I love a good pratfall. Can't wait to go back.

I cannot recommend this show highly enough! I spoke with the cast members last week, and they said that the original cast will only be here until September, so PLEASE hurry and see these comedic pros shine in a show that they wrote and developed themselves!

I just want to share my experiences: I first saw the show about two months ago. I was going through an extremely rough time in my life, and I wanted to see if I could get a few laughs from the show. This show was absolutely everything I needed and more; I laughed so hard the entire show, and I left feeling so much better. I feel like, although not everyone may be going through hard times in their lives, I think everyone could use a night to just let go and laugh until their chests hurt. It just feels so cathartic.

I brought my boyfriend this past weekend, and he doesn't tend to like theatre that much, but he definitely got really into the show about 15-20 minutes in, and he still hasn't stopped talking about it! He wants to go back again before this cast leaves!

PLEASE, please go see this show!  Especially with the original cast!  They are simply a delight to watch, and they're even more delightful in person at the stage door!

I saw the show tonight too and LOVED it.  I even got called out at one point when one of the actors pointed at me and said "this man hasn't laughed at all for 45 minutes!" And everybody turned to look at me.  I was laughing though lol.  To me, it was all about what happens when you take the theater mantra "the show must go on" way way WAY too far.  It was like Monday of tech Week/hell week and that's what made me connect to it.  When you're in a show, you want to just keep going no matter what.  And these poor characters sure did screw up in the most insane ways.  I couldn't believe how many times I recoiled in shocked and covered my mouth at some of the more crazy pratfalls. But they sure were funny

Did the Balcony on Sunday, first row.  They even come up there a few times for audience interaction, a wonderful time.  Again, I had a great view and was able to see Trevor with no issues.  Nothing was missing.
