Along with Craft Recordings, Concord Theatricals is excited to release the original cast recording of The Visitor, featuring David Hyde Pierce and the cast of The Public Theater’s 2021 production!
The album gives a soul-stirring score from Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning duo and Concord Music Publishing artists Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey. Stream today at found.ee/TheVisitor.

I really loved this show and the recording is a great representation of the show and really feels like it captures the experience of seeing the show. Glad to have it! Some of the songs are pretty dialoguey but there’s also several. I’m happy to be able to add to play lists and such.

What was the drama with this show? I already forgot. Nice music though.

1. Is this a white savior story? Is that the whole point? Does that matter?
2. First preview was pushed back multiple times
3. Ari’el Stachel left the show right before it statyed
4. One of the creatives (Yorkey I think?) was not listed in the playbill or thanked by whoever was thanking a bunch of the creatives in it
And maybe there was more too. There was A LOT going on with the show…

For what it’s worth, Yorkey is listed in the digital booklet as lyricist as well as co-book writer with Kwame Kwei-Armah.
