The revival of THE WIZ has finally been announced. Er, it will be announced on April 2. But I thought I'd give y'all the scoop now.
Dodger Stages is still producing the show with Des MacNuff directing. Choreographer is unconfirmed. Here's the cast list...
Anika Noni Rose - Dorothy
Ben Vereen - Tin Man
Darius DeHaas - Scarecrow
Norm Lewis - Lion
Billy Porter - The Wiz
Jennifer Holliday - Evilene
Lillias White - Aunt Em
Mary Bond Davis - Adaperle
La Chanze - Glinda
The show will be opening in August at a theatre to-be-determined. Yay for The Wiz!
