I suppose a lot of members saw it. How was the show? Thank you in advance for your impressions.I would like to know the differences between ROUNDABOUT production and this legendary (I guess was the first major revival in the Country) production.

That's what having real stage presence looks like.
Blaxx, Gershon paid many doctors many dollars to get that "stage presence".
I wish she could have gone to Piven's doctor. She'd be in Thailand by now.

Why helloooo there, Mister Kudisch. Hello there, indeed.
He's in the remake film too.
Kudisch's "Honestly Sincere" live is/was INSANE!
Oh. My. GOD!
I loved it. I was 12 but I loved it
Is Reinking channeling a still alive Eartha Kitt in Spanish Rose?

Now, THAT'S the way Birdie SHOULD be played -- every man, woman and in-beteern was creaming in their you-know-whats when Kudish did that number. I'll NEVER forget him in those skin-tight gold pants. And he had personality and he could sing the s__t out of it.
Does Nolan have a facebook? Quick, someone paste those Marc vids on his wall

That would be incredibly cruel. The people who cast Funk in the role are the ones who should see those videos.
Ug, the soundtrack to the 1995 telefilm is NOT on iTunes.

Not to nitpick, but it made no difference whether the tour had an ugly set or not -- it was the joy of the show that made it so special. If you were to put me to the firing squard, I couldn't even REMEMBER the sets. But, oh those performances! The afore-mentioned Marc Kudish, Tommy Tune and wonderful, wonderful Marilyn Cooper. Musical comedy heaven, light though it may be.
Now that's a sexy, dangerous Conrad Birdie.
How old is Kudisch there?
I saw this tour. Overall, it was pretty lackluster with only Marc Kudisch and a hilarious Steve Zahn (as Hugo Peabody) as the only real standouts. Ann Reinking just couldn't handle the vocals and Tommy Tune was just altogether too fey.
Damn, Kudisch is hot. (On a personal note, I got to work with him shortly after this tour at NSMT in Phantom with Kristin Chenoweth. He definitely continued to be hot.)
I drove to Philadelphia to see the Tommy Tune BYE BYE BIRDIE at the beautiful Forrest theatre where I had seen Barbara Cook in the pre-Broadway tour of PLAIN & FANCY in the early 1950's. BIRDIE was very good. I enjoyed the added song for Tommy Tune, "Take a Giant Step". The actor playing Harry MacAfee was not very good, not capitalizing on that character's priceless lines. But it was Marilyn Cooper who stole the show in a bravura performance. Mae Peterson has the funniest lines in the show. Altogether, a hit. The Roundabout production sounds pretty awful. I am going to FINIAN'S RAINBOW instead, when I come to NYC in December.
The Kudisch is STILL HOT everyone here on BWW knows that. Damn he can sure shake that @ss in that clip!! Hands down the best Birdie I have EVER seen.
Sorry grandpa, didn't get to see Dick Gautier I wasn't even conceived yet so he's out of the loop as far as I'm concerned.
As far as Reinking's clip is concerned it was LACKLUSTER. She has seen better days on a stage and that one definitely wasn't one of them. Tommy Tune on the other hand is a little light on his loafers in EVERYTHING he does.
