Monday 16 December at Symphony Space. Alongside Jordan Donica, the cast includes Jin Ha, Taylor Iman Jones, Alysha Umphress, Kelvin Moon Loh, Chuck Cooper and more. Anyone here going?

This show doesn't get much attention these days, but I love the cast recording. If you enjoy Shaina Taub's recent 'Shakespeare in the Park' musicals, IMO this 1970s show is the OG version of that style (and I say that loving all of the above scores).

This intrigues me because I don't know the material at all. All I know is that it took home Tonys for best book and musical, edging out Follies.

Renee Elise Goldsberry made quite a name for herself in this show in 2005- she had a big number that had a "whoa who was that?" reaction, and I am pretty sure that preceded her turns in Color Purple and RENT. Its a fun show.
