I mean, if Donna Murphy is offered the chance to play Cora on Broadway -- I think she's gonna take it. You don't just say "no, I'm not interested in revivals" to that. Well, apparently that's what she did when she was offered to play Phyllis in FOLLIES and Reno Sweeney in ANYTHING GOES both of which are better musicals.
A recording would be great, that'd definitely get me excited enough, though really the idea of seeing Murphy doing "Me and My Town" and "A Parade in Town" live sounds so exquisite, just from clips seeing clips of her rendition of "A Parade in Town," it seems like she was fantastic.
Emcee, after hearing Raul's "Everybody Says Don't" and "With So Little to Be Sure Of" I'm not sure I'd like to see anyone in the role either, hence why a recording would be great.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
