It's sad when someone wants to do bodily harm to someone just because they married outside of their race. I just wish some people would just sit back and think about what they so against and realize that it's so not worth it.

Whoever the crazy terrorizer is, they should seriously be locked up. Poor Taye and Idina! Under these circumstances, I wouldn't be coming out the stage door either (unless armed with heavy security.)

I agree Shira! I hope Idina and Taye will be ok. Now i see why some people think she's mean. Look what she's going through. I mean when i met her it was only me so there was no reason to run but No one should be bashed like that just because of who they are married to. I feel terrible and hope that loser is put in jail, --->FOR GOOD<---

All I can say is that whoever is sending these threats is a sick individual. Not because the threats were sent to Idina and Taye, but to send them to any interracial couple is terrible. It amazes me that some people can still be so close minded, but we see it all of the time. My thoughts are with the couple, and I hope the NYPD finds whoever is doing this. Hopefully by punishing this person it will send a message to other people who are acting out against interracial marriage. I am sure that threats like this happen to couples everyday, who don't have the publicity that Taye and Idina do. I am proud that they were honest and open about this. I imagine it will bring comfort to others dealing with the same tragedy they are.

Even if blown out of porportion(and it probably is,QM),I doubt our beloved NY Post(and even more beloved Reidel)made it up. Sadly,threats like these are nothing new.The book Making It On Broadway catorgorizes several stalking incidents,and of course there's the current case with Sheryl Crowe.And let's not forget Rebecca Schaffer(sp,sorry),who was actually KILLED by a so-called fan.And there are cases that go back to the beginning of celebrity-high profile people will attract all types.Some of them are lunatics.
Having said that,yes,we do live in a progressive society-Taye & Idina can generally go about their business in public & private-something they could not have done 40,maybe even 20 years ago-this is just one nut-it's almost too bad the post has given him this attention.
A PS-Matt G's post,while ill-timed & possibly insensitive,does have some merit

Yes is is absolutely awful. No one should have to be subjected to that... but you also have to realize that every other interacial celebrity couple prob. gets mail like this all the time. I know the light is on them right now, but we all have to be more aware of the pain that other couples are going through as well.
