Les Miz -- I've never seen it on stage, but watching the 10th Anniversary concert, I get weepy at A little fall of rain, Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, and the finale -- that last really gets me going!

Do you know what makes me want to cry more than anything? During "Dancing Through Life" the part where Boq says to Nessa "It's because you are so beautiful!" and she's like "Oh, Boq! I think you're wonderful." How crazy is that? But it makes me want to bawl! Poor Nessa.

I'm not an emotional person, but watching Brian Stokes Mitchell sing the "Impossible Dream" on last season's Tony telecast moved me to tears.

I'll Cover You from RENT gets me every single time I see it on stage.
And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going and I am Changing from DREAMGIRLS is fabulous.
Back to Before from RAGTIME... when Mother realizes she knows her place in the world. Powerful.
and when Ti Moune dies in Once On This Island makes me cry and be joyous all at the same time.

I hardly ever cry at shows, but one song made me cry just listening to it on CD:

"My Brother Lives in San Francisco" sung by Emily Skinner from the concert recording of "Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens"

So I listened to it again...and it made me cry again :)

There are lots of songs that make me cry, especially:

I Have Dreamed....from The King and I
The Music That Makes Me Dance......from Funny Girl
The finale of Les Miz
What I Did for Love......from A Chorus Line

The all time winner, tho, was many years ago, during the musical
Shennandoah......after John Cullum sang "Papa's Going to Make it
All Right" I sobbed for the rest of the show.

What great memories! I love songs that have moved me enough to make me cry! :)

For me, the last few songs of Into the Woods always get me, I did an amateur production a few years back and my grandfather passed away a few months later, so songs like "No One Is Alone" and the act 2 finale (esp. the Baker's Wife and Witch Part... our Baker's wife did such a good job with that part) particularly get to me.

Also, "By My Side" and "On the Willows" from Godspell also are hard for me, because they are such poignant songs.

The Impossible Dream (man of la mancha) I break down anytime I hear this, since my grandmother died. This was one of our special songs. Same goes for What I Did For Love (a chorus line)

Yes! Mark Richard Ford is so amazing as Collins and definately brings people to tears.

During For Good in Wicked I thought of my friend and started crying.

Also, during See Her Smile in tick, tick...BOOM!

Last but not least, the finale of Les Mis especailly when Fantine and Eponine come back out.
