I just got an email about Telecharge starting a Broadway Discount site.

Any thoughts or insight?

Well, there's no info, so I'm not sure what kind of thoughts one can have. I guess we'll have to wait and see how they compare to the other discounts.
I'm going to suggest that since the productions themselves decide upon any discounts given, that they won't be any different that what we can get elsewhere -- UNLESS TC gets some shows to do exclusives to them.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Didn't Broadway.com buy Broadwaybox.com ? Maybe Telecharge saw the writing on the wall and wanted to be able to offer better discounts. Also--Broadway Discounts works great when people are looking for discount tickets using Search Engines.

Posted: 7/23/13 at 9:11pmI also got this email and figured it would just be a consolidated list of the discount codes that they send out in the mail.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

I fixed that pesky earlier message. Sorry Gang! In January Key Entertainment (Owners---Broadway.com) bought the Broadway Box site. Seems to me that Broadway.com is not a discount site as much as it is a broker site.
Maybe Telecharge--Saw the Writing on the Wall--that another discount site was needed to replace a possible Void in discount Market.
Was just a Theory--you guys out in NYC would know about that stuff than Me.
