Trying to get tickets to Hedwig and no matter what browser I use, when I click "BUY", I get the following message:
We’re sorry, we're having a problem with this feature of the site right now. Please try again.
GAH! That "feature" of the site is BUYING TICKETS!

Posted: 4/4/14 at 1:39pmI had the same problem last night. I called and they said the system was down for maintenance and to try again in about 15 minutes. Finally got it to work about 45 minutes later. Was so afraid I was going to lose my HEDWIG tix I was trying to buy.

Posted: 4/4/14 at 1:40pmNot that I have any love for Ticketmaster, but what is the reasoning behind nearly all of the Broadway shows staying with Telecharge? Ticketmaster seems to have worked out so many kinks over the years that still plague Telecharge...
#4Telecharge! GRRRR!!!!!!
Posted: 4/4/14 at 1:42pmI've gotten that message a few times now for different shows. I've called to buy tickets but now I prefer to see which seats are available and then buy them on the old telecharge site.

Posted: 4/4/14 at 1:50pmThere is no Hedwig understudy. It is all NPH, all the time...

Posted: 4/4/14 at 2:19pmThanks. Obviously, I have had no time to do my research, so I appreciate the info.

And you’re doing it all without an understudy!
Yeah, no understudy. It just seems weird. They’re plastering my face around and it’s kind of a one-woman show, so I just feel bad. I feel an obligation to be doing all of them. Daniel Radcliffe did when he did his Broadway show! But I also would feel bad for a standby, it just seems like it would be so comparative. Plus, if Hedwig is singing terribly and sick, that’s kinda funny. I’ll have to make it work. I’m gonna be a monk in my outside life and getting rest and not drinking. I gotta take care of myself, ‘cause this is a big show. But I’ll be there. I may be sitting on a chair for half of it, but I’ll learn some chair dancing. It’ll be dirty!

Posted: 4/4/14 at 2:34pmI believe Telecharge is run by the Shubert Organization, so all shows in Shubert Houses would have to use Telecharge. I might be mistaken of course!

Posted: 4/4/14 at 2:38pmTamra, you are not mistaken. The Shuberts own Telecharge. Beyobd that, the general consensus is that, of the 2 evils, telecharge is the lesser, especially from a box office standpoint.
#13Telecharge! GRRRR!!!!!!
Posted: 4/4/14 at 3:01pmThat is absolutely not a consensus. I drastically prefer ticketmaster over telecharge.

I love telecharge customer service. Whenever I've called them with a problem they staff are always courteous and helpful. I've even gotten into conversations with them.
They just seem more "customer driven" than ticketmaster. I was once double charged for tickets due to a system glitch and ticketmaster was "oh well". I ended up needing to get my credit card company involved. I fully believe telecharge would have been easier to deal with in a case like that.
And, I will never forget that during the strike Ticketmaster refunded the tickets minus their fees while Telecharge refunded ALL of the money. Fees and all.

Posted: 4/4/14 at 4:40pmI agree, Telecharge customer service is so good. They've swapped tickets for me when better seats came available, refunded when I had to cancel and swapped when I realised I had booked for the week before I was arriving from London! I just wish it was as easy to book tickets online with them as it is with Ticketmaster.

I thought the old Telecharge site was ok but the new one is just AWFUL. Really, really terrible. Confusing and so god damn slow. I have NEVER been able to get the seat selection thing to work, and to be clear I am actually very good with technology.
Ticketmaster is simpler and faster.

For the past two days I've been trying to buy a ticket to Hedwig for Friday, April 25th. Telecharge.com showed 3 seats remaining. The site let me choose a seat, enter my credit card info, choose a delivery method, and then a message would pop up saying "this feature is currently not working. Please try again" So I tried every few hours. I finally called telecharge to just buy the ticket over the phone, and the agent told me that Friday the 25th was sold out.
That was all yesterday. Today, the three tickets still showed up as available for April 25th. So tried every couple hours. I called telecharge customer service this time and explained the situation. The agent told me that the performance was, in fact, sold out, despite what telecharge.com claimed. But then she asked me to hold on. Then she asked me to explain the situation again. Then she put me on hold again. Then she said that since there is only ONE seat left to that particular performance, it has been taken off sale from the website. But I could purchase it over the phone. Which I did. And I was glad to finally get my ticket.
P.S. I gave up on Hedwig yesterday and tried for Realistic Joneses, and the same error message came up.

Posted: 4/4/14 at 7:40pmI had an error message pop up when I was trying to buy my Cradle Will Rock ticket, but I tried again a few minutes later and had no problem. I'm guessing they're having some glitches if they're trying to upgrade or something.

Posted: 4/4/14 at 8:23pmPhantom, a similar thing happened to me. I wanted to buy two tickets to Hedwig on the same day you did. I chose my seats, and checked out and got an error message. I called them, and they said the seats I wanted (BB 1 and 3) were not available. I told him I was literally looking at the seat on the website, and they were open. He said there was only one seat available in Row P. I said no thanks. The next morning I checked again, and they were open, and I was able to get them without incident. Really bizarre. I hate Telecharge, it's unreliable.

Telecharge is awful and totally not user friendly. Producers and talent aren't aware on how inept and technologically behind and faulty it is because they secure their tickets via house seats. Ticketmaster is a simple click and never a problem.
I do hope some producer is reading this thread and applies pressure to Telecharge to modernize their site.
However when ever I've had an issue with that needed customer service they've been excellent on the phone rectifying any issues. But the site - to be an effective financially successful portal needs to get with the times.
