Thank you for broadcasting the Tony Awards all these years - seemingly not bothered by the less than stellar ratings that usually occur.
But your dedication to keeping it on the air is admirable..and I for one thank you. I look forward to this night every year and hope to continue to do so in the future.
So Bravo to Les Moonves and the CBS execs for keeping the Tonys alive on broadcast TV. You are appreciated.

Yes, I also think CBS is great in bringing us the Tony Awards every year! It is always a night that I look forward too.

CBS thanks you and invites you to watch their upcoming fall hit Angel From Hell.
Allison, a dermatologist, is organized and perfect, but her life is derailed when she meets brash, outspoken Amy, who claims to be her guardian angel in this irresistible comedy about an unlikely friendship.

Special Guest Star Bea Arthur's Oversized Vests With Captain Kangaroo Pockets!
After tonight, while I'm overjoyed for the winners and the results, I could care less if the Tonys ever air again on network TV. What an abysmal, disrespectful joke. The musical theater...and the theater in general...is moving forward whether CBS likes it or not.

Didn't it used to be broadcast on PBS? I personally would love to have it -commercials.

It was originally on PBS and before that The DuMont Network. Look to a move to The CW in the near future.

They did the technical awards on PBS for a while, but I think the Tonys have been on CBS for time eternal.
I, personally, cannot wait for the series about animals rebelling against humans based on a James Patterson book or something.

No one knows why the animals turned on everybody… turned on them not turned them on...
But that show stars James Wolk, who can turn on me or turn me on any day of the week.

And anyone who used to watch KQED in San Francisco for the PBS portion remembers the night they inexplicably showed a documentary about glass-blowing instead of the technical awards.
But I do wish PBS would do that again.

Speaking of blowing, TYNE was good in that awful Lisa Howard number. Only on CBS.

At least we didn't have to suffer through the incessant CSI: Cyber commercials that played earlier this year for the Grammys.
