Next time you have some negative thoughts about our awesome
police department, remember today, remember the guy
in Times Sq with the machine gun a
few months back and remember ALL they do everyday, placing
themselves in harms way to protect you,
your family and your
way of life. Underappreciated and underpaid.

Posted: 5/2/10 at 2:41amcouldn't agree more! I love NYC and thanks to the eyes and ears of that great city, they will collectively keep it safe. The wonderful people of the NYPD, FDNY and the people of NYC itself are among the greatest on the planet.

Posted: 5/2/10 at 9:23amYes, thank you to New York's finest--and thank you to the T-shirt vendor who alerted them. He's a Vietnam vet, so thank you to everyone who serves to protect us.

We all have to do our part.
And yes, this was a VERY nice save from the NYPD and co.

Posted: 5/2/10 at 11:14amGo up and thank a cop today. And buy a T-shirt from a vendor, especially if you see Lance.

Posted: 5/2/10 at 12:42pmI'm so thankful for the amazing job they did last night...if it wasn't for them (and the t-shirt vendor who reported the smoking car) things could have been so much worse.

Posted: 5/2/10 at 1:27pmI like that idea - let's go buy a t shirt from that vendor. Not only did he save many lives but he is a Vet from one of the most unappreciated groups of veterans, the Vietnam war. That makes him a double hero! Here's to the police and bomb squad, part of NY's finest for sure!
