"Griffiths has the leading role so shy shouldn't he be given first billing? Radcliffe should give his agent a bonus for getting him equal billing. The role doesn't deserve it."
-Griffith most definitely has the leading role, but not by much. You make it seem as if Alan is some fluff supporting character. I think the two men were billed appropriately; equal, but with Griffith listed first.

I think it's absolutely aesthetically gorgeous
(and no, it's not cuz I find Daniel Radcliffe without a shirt gorgeous)

I love the artwork, it matches the mood of the show so well.
I saw it in London the last week of the run, and was so very impressed. Richard Harris is outstanding, there's so much ease in his acting. I highly admire him for his talent and wish I was as brillent an actor as he is.
I was even impressed with Radclif, in the HP movies he's pure ****. but he was pretty good. stiff, but much better then in the movies.
I must admit, even I was going a bit just to see "Harry Potter" and was drawn in by him and forgot that fact.
it was a little anoying when the 12 year olds in the back started giggling when he started taking off clothes.
I'm sure that will be a worse in NYC.
I'm going to try really hard to see it again.

I'm sure the same thing happened in London and they seemed to deal with it just fine.
I really don't think it's going to be as awful as all that...I'm sure at each performance there will be HP fans, but I'm hoping they will be in the minority...and I doubt there will be too many repeats: they'll walk out of the theater scratching their heads thinking, "well, there goes HIS career!"

Richard Harris is sadly no more. ;_;
Anyhoo. I found that Richard Griffiths was actually quite stiff at the beginning of the run. It took him a while to ease into the character. When he got there, he owned the stage! But before then, it was very hard to ignore that he was an actor playing a part in a play. As he's already done the entire London run, I shouldn't imagine this'd be too much of a problem for you guys; although they have had a bit of a break, so I don't know how much that could affect things.
Daniel Radcliffe is much better than you'd expect. Watch some Harry Potter before you go in, it'll lower your expectations quite a bit, and you'll end up pleasantly surprised. ^_^
I don't recommend stage-dooring this show. You'll get crushed. O_O But the London audiences were mostly very well-behaved with regard to the nudity. As long as the crowds shut up enough to get into the play, they should be feeling the moment sufficiently that when it comes, heckling and other massively inappropriate actions won't happen.
I am SO nervous on everyone's behalf that there's going to be wolf-whistling and stuff. You can act your way through audience laughter, but other things? I can't imagine! XP

I am actually more excited about Richard Griffiths than Daniel Radcliffe.
He's cute and handles his fame well, but honestly, he can't act to save his life.
As terrified as I am, I'm going to have to stagedoor just because. Should be a BLAST.
