Crazy for You was my first Broadway musical. I have wonderful memories of it. 
Hope this gets a good cast.

I haven't been to an MCP production, but this seems like an odd choice for any concert production. The score is of course great, but it's not as if the songs aren't frequently heard in concerts, and the book is kind of terrible. The best thing about it is the dancing, but how much of that can be done in a concert?
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

What bothers me is that they start selling tickets way before the cast is announced. How do you know you are going to like the cast? That's an important element, although not the only one, to be sure. But still....

This seems like a really bizarre choice but I also trust them.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

They have done great work in the past so I feel obligated to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this is a very disappointing choice. We just saw Encores put on Girl Crazy a few seasons ago, and as someone else mentioned, we hear these songs all the time anyway.
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco.
Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

It was my second (after Tommy). I adored it, and I can't wait to see it again. It's an odd choice for MCP, but the personal affection for it is more than enough to get me in the door.

Laura Osnes was my first choice, too. I think Robert Fairchild, Gavin Creel, or Aaron Tveit would make a great Bobby!

Creel and Tveit would be perfectly fine in terms of acting and singing, but if Stroman is involved and is planning to do the choreography full-out, I don't think either of them could pull off the tap. Bobby is probably one of the hardest triple threat roles ever written in a musical- at least for a man. He carries several large production numbers and is onstage most of the show. I would be very surprised if they didn't go for Tony Yazbeck.
