I've finally been able to wipe the tears from my eyes after the Jerry Herman tribute.
Carol, Pearl, Angela, George.
How utterly beautiful.
Yes, Jerry. The Best of Times is Now, and I thank you for it!
Hair actually has saved this awards show, both that abortion of an opening and a night filled with disappointing performances! Congrats Hair on a well deserved Tony!
Sorry to be so late, but my internet hasn't been working. I really like the Billy performance, it was the first look of the musical I've seen. The kid looked pretty pissed, which was I thought was supposed to be going on... which Billy performed?
I was chanting "Cut to Marc!" when she made the crack about her relationships
I was chanting please don't cut to Marc, please don't cut to Marc...
Jerry was soo sweet. I cant believe they cut him off..
Cheno IS hot !!! "Hair" performance--- (other than the camera making it seem like the "Blair Witch Project") was great !!!
There go the $37 tix !!

Hair looks wonderful and I like it...but...I was really hoping it'd be WSS. West Side Story has literally been my favorite classic show since earliest childhood (my parents had all these 8-track Broadway cast albums that they played in the car, and I knew all the songs before I was five!).
But...more power to them and that was a great acceptance speech!
Anyone else ponder the significance of *Anne Hathaway* being in a *Shakespeare* play?
And now for the sixty-four thousand dollar question...
WHERE THE HECK WAS WALL-E?! I was looking FORWARD to that!

I thought the opening with WSS and GUYS/DOLLS was brilliant. The two numbers played off each other beautifully. The rest of the opening wasn't nearly as good.
The Billy performance was just really random if i was someone that new nothing of the show i'd probably be frightened to see it.
Sorry to have joined this so late...when I don't get booted off, it's great!
Hair certainly did just save this broadcast! God knows the soundman didn't!

picturetaker, that was Trent Kowalik.
Was I the only one expecting Neil Patrick Harris to sing tonight at some point a la Hugh Jackman at the Oscars?

YAY!
I find it hilarious that they used bootlegs in Jerry's tribute.
Damn!
HOORAY ALICE!
YAY ALICE!!
Good for Alice. A wonderful, touching performance.
And I'm now having a hard time deciding who I have a bigger crush on Jennifer Damiano or Sutton Foster.
No surprise here, but I'm really happy for Alice.
They must be really behind time, David Hyde Pierce did that FAST.
I enjoy Alice Ripley ever so much.
