Posted: 12/19/06 at 2:10amDo you think the box office numbers are going to get better? They are pretty low and the reviews weren't great.

See it in 2 weeks (TDF) so I do not feel I overpaid
Will let you know. Saw the original & no it will in no way compare but it should prove interesting

Posted: 12/19/06 at 8:35amConsidering that it's a Roundabout show, the subscriber base will drive the box office up.

gustof, IIRC it is scheduled to run through March 11th.
I haven't seen it yet but I'm making time this week to go up there and buy tickets. Has anyone sat in the very last row of the mezz (the $36.25 seats)? How is the view from up there? Would it be worth it to pay a little more to sit a few rows closer, or is the whole mezz pretty much the same in quality?

It is produced by a non-for-profit theatre company. Box office numbers are irrelevant. The reason that the box office was low this week is probably due to the fact that it opens on Thursday, which means a lot of comps for press and the like.

Posted: 12/19/06 at 10:15amIf the box office is a little sluggish then this means there's a pretty good chance to get tickets via TKTS..correct ?

The last row of the mezzanine is not a good place to sit in Studio 54. It's really far away, and very difficult to see much of anything.
The whole mezzanine is a danger zone for taller theatregoers like myself at Studio 54. Ick.
I would recommend getting something closer.

Posted: 12/19/06 at 11:17amAt last Saturday's matinee, the mezz was about half empty. Folks from the back moved up. I was in 4th row mezz all the way on the side, via TKTS, and I could see everything fine.

but yeah I went Sunday afternoon and same story Mezz was about half empty and people moved up. i think that the view from up in Mezz was fine and I got everything but I rushed it and sat in HH 1 and had an AWESOME view!

Posted: 12/19/06 at 6:44pmI saw her on the View today and wasn't effect at all. It was just kinda of boring? Maybe it's the score? The song? Her performance? But it didn't make me want to go see this.

same thing she always does "Popular redeaux"
it can do well...... just far.. far.. FAR away where people don't have to be subjected to it.
and for the record, someone who worships Cheno JUST admitted that the show is "not the best thing out there".
