Seeing Wicked and Thoroughly Modern Millie. i expected to hate Millie and I had memorized Wicked.

i thought (though apparently i'm the only one) that Never Gonna Dance was cute and fun. i liked it, but this comes from someone who only dis-likes one show out of the many he's seen

i'm sorry you didn't like it. the show had great potential. though i liked it, it coulda used more expierenced actors/actress in the leads and better orchestrations. but Karen Ziemba roxs my socks!

I love when the openig cords of a song strike that excitement in you...

For example, Roger's chords at the beginning of the number "RENT" and then everything turns into this chaotic, colorful, mess, I get a lump in my throat every time.

Also, in HAIRSPRAY when the opening music starts, swells, the curtain opens and the lights go up and Tracy's eyes pop open, in the bed.

Moments like that make me get goosebumps and anticipate the rest of the show.

And for the record, I adore Roger Bart. My friend from college was being an ass and told him I had a crush on him as he was leaving the St. James after a matinee of The Producers, stopping him from whereever it was that he happened to be going and he was adorable and gracious. He made a huge deal about going over to me and posing for pics without being asked and just being a genuine sweetheart. Then I actually saw him perform in the show that evening and I was in love. Sweet and incredibly talented.

Hearing the Overature from POTO, which is my favorite part of any musical, EVER.

"Move On."-to me it's Sondheim's crowning acheivement.

"everything's coming up Rose! Everything's coming up Rose's! For me..."--don't think anything can top that. And Rose bowing to the audience in her head...that is genius.

Tonya's "flat. flat. flattttttttttttttttttttttttt," topped by enormous cheering at the final peformance.

Elaine's "Ladies Who Lunch" during her At Liberty show 2 weeks ago in Boston.
