chrysanthemum's got a good point. that was a great moment, but an even better moment was adam pascal as the emcee stopped right in front of me during dont tell mama and shaking his gorgeous ass right in my face...twice!(then meeting him after)

Okay, I do have to agree with the Adam/Cabaret mention. I, oh-so eloquently grabbed TM Cara's arm and went "OHMYGOD. Those are ADAM'S EYES!" when he peeked through the door after the drumroll. Finally seeing him in person again is definitely up there on my list, too.

... and he knows he can get away with that stuff.... the ass-shaking and such.

Exactly what Plum said. It's exhilarating. Something like "Sunday" or "Lot's Wife" towards the middle, right at the peak of pretty much the entire show. "Some folk go to school at night and some folk march for civil rights and I DON'T. I ain't got the heart..."

The moment when the moon lit up in the "Caroline Takes My Money Home" - "Roosevelt Petruchius Coleslaw" sequence. Gah, that was beautiful.

The final moments of GYPSY when Louise exits upstage and Rose follows her..then turns around and looks out into the audience one last time, then closes the door. Wow.

Also, in TABOO in the Selfridge's scene between the makeup artist and George/Marilyn, ending with "Well it's a pity it doesn't F*CKING work then, isn't it?!"

The end of RENT when Mark's movie is playing on the wall, then at the very end when Angel runs back on to join the cast. Not matter how wretched the cast is at that time, it never fails.

At The Frogs - seeing the curtain part and Nathan Lane and Roger Bart come striding out. I thought I would die. Then, afterwards, at the stage door - looking down, hearing the door open, looking up and realizing that Roger Bart was standing gaaaah in person seven feet away from me. I think I really did die, for a moment.

What do you mean you almost died seeing Roger Bart in person? He's not even famous, where else would you have seen him...I will never understand that, he's just an actor.

Wow, munkustrap. Just...no.

Roger Bart is an actor that I respect, admire, and - dare I say - love. He has an incredible voice and is an amazing actor. Being in his presence was a very incredible, humbling experience.

Why should I care whether or not he's famous?

And, just because I can, a little Roger Bart shilling - Stepford Wives is coming out on DVD on the ninth. Go buy it.

Geez, who cares about traditional fame? When people like Paris Hilton become famous for nothing in particular, it kind of becomes meaningless. I'd completely geek out if I met, say, Julie Taymor, but I doubt she has 10% name recognition.

yay Roger, i remember i was not into musicals a while ago and my parents took me to see YAGMCB. i walked out and said, "i liked the funny man on the dog house" i've been watching for roger ever since!

The last time I saw CABARET I was talked to John Stamos, then ran back to my table as the drumroll started and the lights dimmed. Then Adam came out onstage and when he asked "Do you feel good?" Stamos yelled "yeah!" *sigh* good times.

I wasn't saying anything about fame in that way. You acted like you've only seen him on billboards and here he was...in front of you. Clearly if you know he has a beautiful voice and is a great actor - which he is - you've seen him IN PERSON before, probably on stage.

The Frogs was the first time I'd ever seen Roger Bart onstage. I don't live near New York, so I don't have opportunities to see shows often. When I heard about The Frogs, I begged my mother for months to bring me. The day I finally saw it was one of the best days of my life. This weekend, I'm going back to New York and seeing Gary Beach in La Cage aux Folles with my best friend, who is also a huge fan. I've never seen him onstage, either, but I'm a huge fan. Are you saying I have no right to get excited when I see him - actually see him for the first time?
