From your profile: "The second (dream) is to live in manhattan with a hot husband. Dreams will come true.
I am a good looking..."
So the looks thing is REALLY important to you, huh?

"Even he of Macho bent,
who'd nev'r be caught in tights,
may turn bitter Queen,
at a discount request,
when his undies just ain't right!

Thank you for that hilarious poem, JoeKv99! Priceless.

Just to let you all know, I went back to the Booth Theater after work and got my ticket. There was a different guy working there and he was actually quite nice.

Thanks for all your support (well, most of you).

I was going to contribute a lyric too but got stuck on, "A young theatre fan from Nantucket"... and left it at that. On a more positive note, I always take a moment to speak with the box office staff when the line's not nuts, and have met some great folks. A big thank you goes a long way for everyone.

The nicest box office folks I've met recently are at the Richard Rogers (Tarzan), Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (A Chorus Line), and the Gershwin (Wicked) just for their patience and grace with what is always a mad Rush. The only problem I've had recently was at the Minskoff (Lion King); the guy there was downright snooty, and I deeply apologize for interrupting his cell phone conversation by trying to buy a ticket.

I had a very good experience at the Booth; my cousin and I wanted to see FAITH HEALER; we planned on doing SRO and went and asked. The man there said the show wasn't sold out but to keep coming back. We came back twice after and the final time we came back was arounf fifteen minutes before curtain and still no SRO. He offered to discount box seats for us from $101.25 to $55. More than I wanted to pay but we did it anyway. I thought it was really nice of him to offer to discount the tickets instead of just saying, "No standing room, try again another day."

I hate it when they give you seats, and when you ask if there are any others, they scream "these are great seats! You're crazy!"

The O'Neill office people are also very helpful and have been patient with me a number of times.

So glad you got a ticket. Sueleen's diatribe was a lot more offensive than anything you wrote.

Kalimba, why is what I wrote MORE offensive than what WAT wrote? Just curious why you think that.
