no one can be dismissive of Jackman's performance. In fact there are many good performances. i think the show will run, and most discerning audiences will get that the songs are pretty good, the book weak, and the performances amazing. Shows have run for a LONG time on that or worse. But i agree that BFO will not even have the short run that Stamos can give NINE once Jackman leaves.
According to song list on Playbill.com , 5 songs from "Legs Diamond" are in Oz. Not bad for a musical that was billed as a monumental bomb. I saw Legs & it was not a train wreck. It was entertaining. Not great but entertaining

I've just read a very insightful article posted on the News Section of this board on how Martin Sherman approached the re-writing of the book for the upcoming musical. It's called "This Isn't the Oz That Was" by Gerard Raymond ( theatermania.com) and focuses on the concept that they are pursuing in presenting the story of Peter Allen musically. I find their approach very interesting and innovative - and maybe the article can clarify some of the questions raised earlier on this thread.
