Written by Jacob Perkins. Directed by Les Waters
Every week at the same time, in the same place, a group of women share their stories of recovery. As weeks slip into years and decades spin into eternity, the women keep coming back amidst an ever-shifting, unfamiliar world. Jacob Perkins’ The Dinosaurs is a piercingly funny, loving ode to the infinite, innately human battle between holding on and letting go.

I am going next week. There are several positive comments on the Theater app.

Honestly the theatr app is rigged. They like everything apparently
Saw it tonight. It was pleasant. It’s basically a recovery session with memory jumps, I don’t want to spoil too much or explain too much. The six actresses were all fine and it’s always a pleasure to see Kathleen Chalfant and Elizabeth Marvel.

Yeah I've noticed that too. I miss show score
Same. Now one can't even post much on show score. It's become a puff site for the shows trying to sell the tickets. RIP show score.

It was bought by TodayTix (app) in early covid days. Today Tix uses its acquired site, mostly defunct and positively inflated "show scores", to push ticket buying on their app. It all but useless now.

They say they are doing work on their review system and it will be back up by March.
Yes there were fake reviews on the site but it was easy to spot them with perfect scores by new accounts with only one or so reviews posted. The site was still useful to read the reviews by the longtime users.

What could you spoil? It's just boring.
But I found my mind wandering and recalling I've seen so many bad plays about 12 step meetings. Has there ever been a good one?
I enjoyed the performances and there were some memorable moments but it was a bit too slow.

I was very moved by this, too. I thought it was very well-observed.

It's been a week since I have seen this and today the last scene in the play finally caught up with me. Sometimes I just need to sit with something for a while. In my time, I guess. Anyway, Keilly McQuail as Rayna/Buddy sings a song that just kind of shakes you to your core. Today I had a good cry. I will never forget that last scene. It was so powerful.
