Esparza Heads! Right up my alley. Hahaha. I'm trying to convert my friends into insane obsessed Raul fans. :-P
Never met the man, but I loved him in Tick, Tick...boom, Taboo, and esp The Normal Heart...
I can't believe the Normal Heart closed tonight!! AHH! I wish I had more advanced notice! (as I'm sure you all did!)
I'm SO glad I lost the wicked rush friday night and saw the Normal Heart for a second time. I never thought I'd be happy about losing.....
I think I need to watch B'way under the stars or something to make myself feel better.

I'm so sorry to see that The Normal Heart closed. I really wish I could have gotten to see it at least one more time. So many people could have benefited from seeing this play. Raul is such a talented guy, that I just can't imagine he won't get picked up for another show very quickly. Maybe he will get cast in that show mentioned above, Brooklyn.

I did that. Didn't really help though. Seeing Raul actually made me feel worse.

But I think that Raul is very highly sought after. That kind of talent isn't going to be unemployed for long.

Here's some news that may cheer us up a bit. I spoke to the Taboo documentarian this week. She said I could tell everyone that they hope to premiere the Taboo documentary on the Kelly & Rosie cruise. The release date is planned for around September.

It's not actually a fan club, per se.... it actually began as a total joke... but I think that midtown just started this thread to get all of Raul's fans on the board together.

Well when it comes out. Really, I don't know if they know details yet -- like whether they will do a film premiere here or not; but the actual first premiere will be on the cruise. Wish I could go!

The U.S. Taboo documentary is going to premiere on Kelly & Rosie's cruise tonight at 10:00 p.m.

I miss Raul!! When the documentary comes out in the Fall, maybe the Esparza Heads could finally have that field trip.

Its not a DVD of TABOO itself, more like a documentary with some background & some footage, pretty much a Broadway version of the EVERYTHING'S TABOO (the UK documentary)

Thegirlinthefrock - When I talked to the documentarian the first time, it was at the Taboo CD signing. She said she shot over 700 hours of footage. My understanding is that it is about the Taboo experience in the U.S. I think it covers before Taboo actually opened and may also include other events after it closed. The second time I spoke with her was at Scott Nevins *presents* Euan Morton at Therapy. That's when she told me the premiere would be on the cruise and they hoped for a September release date.

Ah, ok. Thats Ruffian and Taboo17. Are there going to be clips of songs and of the show itself, or all interviews and everything. I'd love to see it either way. I am a sucker for behind the scenes stuff.

Wife loves Raul, so count me in since we'll go see whatever he happens to be in... He wsa great in Taboo and Normal Heart, didn't get to see him before that.

I love Behind The Scenes stuff, also. I am so looking forward to this documentary. I'm sure it'll have song clips, interviews, maybe even some funny screw-ups? That would be great.

Woooooo! I'm listening to Taboo right now. I can't believe this thread popped back up. I say we make the premiere our first Esparza Head outing... as long as we are (relatively) unassuming and don't scare The Cuban (thanks Sammygal... where ever you are!).
