I do know though, that if you're going on the 13th you'll see JJ!
Unless he's sick (knock on wood)

Also, for those going to opening night-
BRIAN D'ADDARIO IS GOING ON (Unless something happens and he can't go on)

Posted: 1/9/08 at 8:54pmI spoke with Brian D'Addario and his mother personally on December 13th, and she said that they were having all of the boys record for Flounder for the broadway soundtrack, and they were going to choose which boy sounded the best, and then put him on the soundtrack.

Please tell me that last time two talented young actors were cast in a featured role in a BIG New Broadway Musical and fired before Opening night becaue the producers don't realize boy's voice change at 12 or 13?
Not a boy and not because of voice change, but...
Joanna Pacitti (or however her last name was spelled) and Annie comes to mind.
LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!

I know the timing doesn't seem fair, but this is a business practice - nothing personal. In kid roles, there are many clauses in contracts (height, weight, age, vocal changes, etc...) Look at all the "Annie Orphans" who grew an inch and grew right out of their contract. Kids are released from shows for things like exceeding the height maximum, putting on weight, and vocal changes. Disney isn't doing anything wrong here.
I'm with the poster that brought up Joanna in "Annie". They cut the 12 year old to bring up the 8 year old understudy - and while it didn't seem fair - they got *years* out of Britny and would have realistically only had another few months out of Joanna. Bad decision to recast? You decide....
