I swear that Golden Girls is on every moment of every single day. Reruns air on mutiple channels several times a day. Why would people pay $120 to see Bebe miscast as Dorothy when they can stay home and turn their TV on to see Bea Arthur?

To the OP...if you are still coming back to the thread that is...

I think that the reason everyone is reacting so strongly to this post is the fact that every one of the women you listed would be horribly offended if you were to suggest that they would be old enough to play the Golden Girls...To most of us it sounded a lot like saying that Miley Cyrus should play Sophia.


But as a serious answer...I could see a Golden Girls Musical...but Off off off off Broadway

Karen Ziemba actually wouldn't be bad casting for Rose in a musical version.

Plus, unlike Betty White, she could actually do her own cartwheels in the dance marathon scene!
