The Grand Paradise or The Woodsman?

Hi everyone. I have one show slot left for an upcoming trip and it's on a Sunday night, so there are limited show options available. I was wondering if anyone has opinions on seeing The Grand Paradise vs. The Woodsman. I love Sleep No More and am intrigued by immersive theatre but have never seen a Third Rail Projects show and am concerned about the level of participation in The Grand Paradise (OK with the touching and dancing, less OK with drinking things, answering intimate questions, being put in claustrophobic spaces). But it also seems like a really unique experience. Conversely, I like puppetry and dance and nonverbal storytelling, so The Woodsman looks like something I might enjoy also. Aside from this, seeing Hamilton, Waitress, She Loves Me, School of Rock, and Sleep No More. Any opinions are welcome and appreciated!

I would say go for The Grand Paradise. The kind of audience involvement you're concerned about is not really Third Rail's M.O. They're more into creating personal experiences than putting you on display. And The Grand Paradise is a really wonderful experience.

I actually respectfully disagree with ColorTheHours048. When I attended The Grand Paradise, I was involved in all three areas of participation that you are ambivalent about (drinking things, answering intimate questions, being put in claustrophobic spaces). If this is stuff you're uncomfortable with, it might not be the show for you. That said, I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it, so long as you're aware of what you're getting yourself into.

Consider THE COLOR PURPLE, which does have Sunday evening performances. Out of 7 Bway shows last week, THAT was the show that blew us away-- just staggeringly good. In a class by itself.

The Woodsman is absolutely brilliant and unlike anything I have ever experienced. I highly recommend it!
