The Greatest Showman Broadway Casting

So I've seen The Greatest Showman twice now and I love it, especially the music. It seems like it work really well on Broadway so let's think about who could play what...

PT Barnum: Hugh Jackman (maybe), Andy Karl

Phillip Carlyle: Corey Cott, Jeremy Jordan

Charity Barnum: Betsy Wolfe, Pippa Soo

Anne Wheeler: Zendaya (maybe), Lilli Cooper, Denee Benton

Jenny Lind: Laura Osnes, Sutton Foster

Beared Lady: Keala Settle....duh

 

Thoughts?

I think I’d do the workshop cast, but I’d replace Cynthia with denee. I like the idea of Betsy as Charity.

My dream cast would be Jeremy Jordan as Philip and Stephanie Styles (Newsies, Roman Holiday) for Charity! I think she would be adorable, and her voice matches the score well.

I honestly like the idea of Cynthia Erivo as Jenny Lind, but also many former Elphaba's would also kill it as well. Especially Willemijn Verkaik, who looks nearly identical to Rebecca Ferguson and who I absolutely swore it was playing the role until looking up the cast afterward and finding that not to be the case LOL!

I liked it better on Broadway when it was called Barnum.
