I was sent home from work early so I decided to check the guys out tonight (in case I don't get rush tomorrow :) and all i can say is that this is the best show that I have seen so far compared to the last 3 that I have seen and Chris Jones (Valli) keeps getting better and better and more powerful with all those falsettos and belting throughout the show from beginning to end!
Everybody was there tonight except for Gutman who is still out for his wedding and Gutman's part was played by Taylor Sternberg. Taylor did an amazing performance as one of the Four Seasons and he is very funny as the gay PA Assistant.
Sandra Denise is back as Lorraine and her acting is flawless and well-delivered specially on that part where she left Frankie at the apartment. Denise was strutting her stuff like a model :) as she left the stage while holding that trendy white luggage thingy. I also appreciate the powerful voice she brings to the Angels and her voice combined with Jackie Seiden (Mary Delgado) and Melissa Strom(Francine) makes a perfect combination or what I would called a triple threat!!!
Erich Bergen (Gaudio) is also back and at first, I thought his voice is still not in good condition from Bronchitis but after a few lines, he got his act back and he delivered a very powerful and heartfelt "I cry for You". He sang his heart out throughout the show and definitely enjoyed the powerful and unique timbre of his voice that blended perfectly with the group.
Deven May (DeVito) is as dependable as usual and at one point, I think he definitely hit Courter Simmons in the head for real and you could hear the "thud" that definitely brought the people to laughter. He must have been the class clown in his days :P
Michael Ingersoll (Massi) is as smooth as ever and I enjoy the way he sways....looks very boyish or should I say....very manly ;P and of course, I notice his trademark mannerism of pulling at his cuffs! His voice is also very good and he delivers a powerful base to the 4 part harmony.
The rest of the cast was truly a treat to watch and it brought some nostalgic moments when I first saw the Sherry Tour Jersey Boys in December last year and this performance tops it off with a cherry on top!
Can't wait for the finale tomorrow!
Some moments from tonight's show that I enjoy are Sandra and Erich's return from their absences, Walk like a Man's powerful delivery, Big man in Town (gave me goosebumps), Beggin, CTMEOY and the rest of the songs that followed...especially the finale!
I wonder if it's okay to sing along at the encore :P
At the finale...I can't help but notice Courter Simmons(Pesci) powerful harmony as a Tenor on Who Loves You.
Great Job Sherry Tour!
After the show.....I waited a little bit at the stage door and finally got Erich Bergen's "Johnny Hancock"!!!
My collection is complete as I have already got Deven's, Michael's and Chris's from the past shows together with those from Nathan, Rick, Jennifer, Joe, Melissa and Heather.
New additions to my signed playbill include Jersey Boys prominent director Des Mcanuff , Prolific Choreographer Sergio Trujillo and actors Jackie Seiden, Taylor Sternberg, Miles Aubrey and John Altieri.
I gave a small gift to Sherry tonight and they were miniature SF cable cars that say "Powell and Hyde". I hope they like it :P
Tomorrow...I am planning to send them flowers for the final show.
Today is the last day for the Sherry Co. in SF. I know I'll be a bit bummed. This cast is made up of a great group of talented people and I'm sure they'll be missed by everyone of their fans in the Bay Area.
Who's going to see their last show tonight? If you are post a reveiw, I want to hear how it goes.
And just a reminder, Erich is having his call in show today. Details on his blog.
YAY GOOD LUCK TO THE SECOND NAT'L TOUR CAST!! I'm so very excited for this group of people. I know they're going to be amazing! I wish I could see them.
I'll be there tonight as well, and maybe this weekend to check out the new cast.

Not only do I really want to see what they do (I took two semesters of ASL in college), I like that $50 price. I wonder if that's only if you request the ASL performance specifically.

To anyone who saw the Sherry Co. last show, I'd love to hear a detailed account of that night. Mainly, details on if they did anything special since it was their last night.

I need to be up for work in five and a half hours, so not too many details at the moment, but the audience was really energetic. As in, huge screams when Brandon Mattheius came out as the rapper, when Michael Ingersoll sang a solo line, whatever. There also was applause for things like Eric Gutman's "Heeeeeey" as Hank, "met-a-phor," etc.
Also, lots of red underwear was thrown at the finale.
No announcement or anything obvious for the closing, other than a really long and appreciative curtain call.

* The screaming was a little bit much (you kids aren't at Rent or a Beatles concert), but at least I was in the balcony so it was filtered
* House was not sold-out; mezz and balcony were half-full
* Curtain call was pretty teary, but there were no speeches (maybe because it was teary!)
* I'd only seen the show NOT from the rush seats once before, so I'm not sure if it's the seats or what, but the percussion seemed abnormally prominent at times
* Best "Fallen Angel" ever
* So great to see Eric Gutman back as Hank/Mika!
* There was a ton of red underwear thrown on stage during the finale
I have to be at work in about nine hours, so I'll say more later...

I'm Speechless! No words can describe the show tonight!!!
It's like seeing the show again for the first time
and the view from my seat G 111, row 7 is perfect since I could see the entire stage unlike from my previous previews from the front seats and the balcony.
I was able to truly appreciate the magnificent staging and see the non-speaking actors and musicians at the background!
Everybody was there playing their original respective parts...except for the missing Jarrod which we already know will be Frankie in the 2nd tour!
The audience was frenzied, very generous and applauded most of the performances longer than the usual specially on the CTMEOY part!
A fan threw a bouquet of roses during the part of the 4 seasons reunion at Hard Rock Hall of Fame!
The finale was crazy since it just brought the whole audience to their feet and each of the band members got highlighted for their hard work and job well-done!
The rest is history :)
It was raining and the cast were very generous to meet and greet most of the fans at the stage door for the final night in SF!
Now they go to New Haven, CT for tech rehearsals on monday and open in L.A. on May 25th!
I can neither confirm nor deny whether the plethora of red underwear was a result of my friends & I shopping at Marshalls earlier that day...
Anton, Rick wasn't there! All the original cast but him, though. Gutman got tan on vacay!
The acoustics in the balcony always favor the percussion - there are actually speakers at the back that just hammer out the beats, it's really strange.
Jenna Coker was there! I freaked out, quite randomly.
Alright, I seriously have to sleep. Look forward to tomorrow night!
Jenna Coker was there! I freaked out, quite randomly. If I remember correctly, I read somewhere that her and Chris are together, so I wouldn't be suprised that she would be there.
Thanks for the reviews everyone who posted one. I'm dissapointed I couldn't see their last show. Although I also found out yesterday that I can't see the next cast first show, however I will be there on Saturday.
Jerseyboyslover, thanks for updating the cast list on the 2nd tour myspace page. And your page and all the detective work done to find out who's who was mentioned here.
This was my first time seeing the show not from rush seats, and so seeing the whole stage, which was sort of surreal. I kept being pulled out of the action as I'd think, "Oh, so there's bowling going on in the background," or, "Wow, I didn't imagine that Crewe was on a giant foam yellow couch."
I think I saw Andrew Gehling walking through the madness at the stage door at one point. I couldn't swear to it because all I have to go on is the pictures in this thread, but...
