im guessing rainbow has matthew passion in mind. the photos from that production were quite provocative ... slightly less so here, imho.

this might not be tragic -- i googled it, and that gassner award is from the new england theatre conference.1998, but still a respectable outfit.

Yes, the Matthew Passion advertising. The description was very interesting and then the photos reminded me of the photo campaign for Matthew that got so much attention on these boards.
