So I'm doin the play "The Laramie Project", and think it just amazing. The message it sends is so great.

Anybody done this show and feel the same??

I did it last year and it was an insane experience. Just a warning, its incredibly emotionally draining, so make sure that you balance out the rehearsal process with things that will make you happy, or even just keep you emotionally balanced.

Whatever happened to class?

i was crew on this during my junior year of high school. with the right direction, it's AMAZING. I bawled at the end of the last.

the call backs (which I was on the list for) were emotionally taxing as well, all the girls did the same monologues so we heard the same depressing monologue so we were all crying. sorry, my rant is over.

Wonderful piece of theater--I would love to perform in it some day.

i do this piece as my Dramatic Interpretation in Speech tournaments. i can really attest to how emotionally draining this piece is. after i'm done performing, i go sit back down in my seat and basically just have to calm myself down. and having to perform it 3-4 times a day (that is, if i make it to finals) is pure hell. as much as i enjoy conveying this message and hopefully opening up a few minds, it's so hard to do. but i am happy to do it in matthew's memory.

My friend and I were talking about it the other day. I haven't seen it, but we're pushing for it to be our senior class show, and I read a script and seems amazing.

My high school did that last year. Being a freshman, I wasn't in it, but I did see it. My God, it was one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. (They did a damn good job with it.)
