I was thinking of all the albums that Sh-K-Boom has recorded and they are superb! So, why not a love thread to share your love?
Hair is PHENOMENALLY recorded! and is SO beautifully done. The same for next to normal!
I'm sure there are other lovers too, right?
EDIT: OMG lol thanks for pointing that out!

I love me some Sh-K-Boom as well!
PS- you wrote Sh-K-Boo(k) in the title of the thread...

I'd like to see the Sh-k-boom website get a bit of a makeover. They really don't do much on it to promote the artists. The message board is pathetic, why even have it? I think they need to hire a better PR team.

Love Sh-k-boom/Ghostlight Records...great idea to have a love thread. I agree the website needs a makeover, however I do love the idea of shkbuzz.wordpress.com however it is never really updated and when there are updates the articles came out at least 5 days before. But those minor things don't take away from the fabulous things this company does.
I love them for Hair and N2N
but I think my loved was consummated for them when they released the brilliance that is the In The Heights recording
I'm so thankful for Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight, and one reason is LITTLE WOMEN, a show which didn't play the best on stage but has a very charming score worth repeated playing.
My only wish is they could get MORE shows recorded--TALE OF TWO CITIES, CRY BABY, for example.

I will only continue to love them if a studio recording of "Everyday Rapture" is released.

hmm...I agree logan0215 "Everyday Rapture" needs to be recorded and ASAP...I could listen to it all day!
I have no doubt that Everyday Rapture will be recorded. After all, Sherie runs Sh-K-Boom with Kurt. And if the buzz of the show coming to Broadway is true, than there will definitely be a recording.
But yes, I love Sh-K-Boom. They make some great cast recordings, and I love the solo cds they produce as well.

A friend of mine from college and the record/radio industry recently divulged to me that Kurt is his cousin, and I am impressed that an actor from middle-America and a Broadway star met, got married, and started a record label. (Plus I am a geek for Adam Pascal.) So I love Sh-K-Boom by association. :)

Very good point lovepuppy-not only is the label great, but the story behind it is amazing too!

Yeah. Makes me wish I had seen Sherie in "Mermaid" (or, um, anything) now, but alas, I do not live in NY. Saw a bunch of shows on a trip there a year ago, but time was limited and it didn't make the cut.
And I also wish my friend had told me he had Broadway stars in the family like, years ago. But he's a metal-head, so I guess he gets enough of that news at home. Go figure. :)

Love me some Sh-K-Boom.
I was actually checking out their website and I'm surprised they don't have a listing for Frankenstein.

It IS gone forever and isn't coming back. Now, please shut up while some of us still have brain cells left. Thank you! :)
Gee, how did we know bryan was going to show up on this thread??
Thanks for bringing Cry Baby up.
I say good riddance to it.
I abso-freakin'-lutely adore Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight!
My only qualm with them is ordering the HAIR album five days ago, and to date, have not received an email confirming my shipment. I don't know why it's taking so long... I wants me some greatness beyond the Hirsch! Mucho love withstanding.

I'm deeply appreciative of their work and would be even more appreciative if they knew how to record rock scores properly. As in, not sounding as if they shoved the singer and a guitar in front of a dinky computer microphone.
