Well, there's going to be bias towards recent productions since not all of us were in NYC or were even theater fans for the whole period.

I didn't move to NYC until late '07, so I didn't have the opportunity to see any of the '06 productions or a few of the '07 ones, so all my picks are more recent.

AUGUST would actually be in 3rd for me, behind THE HISTORY BOYS and THE COAST OF UTOPIA.

I've seen 12 out of 20 winners.

Looking at all of the recent winners in one place, two things struck me:

1) 2010 really was a weak year
2) The Best Revival for a Play category was by far the strongest -- all 5 candidates are highly worthy IMO, which I would not say for any of the other categories
